I have never thought that the record like this could be done within a short period of time. Performing alone is the action which requires the highest level of confidence, calmness and life wisdom. Though I hadn’t been a novice in solo playing before, recording a solo album seemed like something unachievable. Until now.
In fact, it was pretty ordinarily. A quarantine mode locked me down in the room for an indefinite term, so it was enough to sit there, switch on my keyboard, sound card and a laptop, and try to fight with boredom somehow. Ultimately, it captured me and elaborating a tune from dawn till dusk grew into something usual. No drugs consumed.
At the same time, a huge amount of inner conflicts overtook me when I started reminiscing a lot about life before it turned into a long slumber. Probably, that’s why I didn’t figure out at once, that over the time there had been nine tracks already written. All of them included worries, flutters and favourite things from the past, which made me who I am, as well as the images of whom I would like to be.
Isolation from the familiar brought a new kind of growth and made me closer to the traits, that are necessary to play well when alone. That’s what all this stuff is about.
I made the cover by myself using scissors, iPhone and wrapping paper from the souvenir shop. The photo was taken on one of the shiniest April days.
